Startup Assam to organise Northeast Online Hackathon 2020
After successfully hosting events like Assam Hackathon 2018 and Northeast Hackathon 2019, Startup accelerator StartupAssam is organising NorthEast ONLINE HACKATHON this year. Participants from the NE region can meet virtually and pitch their ideas, solutions to the challenges the society is facing following the global pandemic Covid 19.
The Northeast Online Hackathon will work on the precautionary measures, steps to be taken by various government departments in all sectors following the coronavirus outbreak. The Hackathon will strive to find out solutions to the various problems that the nation/region is facing currently or is likely to face in the coming months.
The solutions provided by the teams will be evaluated by experts in the respective sectors. The best solution(s) will be adopted by the Government (department-wise). The sectors are Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Textile, Food Processing, Tourism , Transportation, Import export, Education, Healthcare, Water Resources, Sports Management, FinTech or any other relevant sector.
In the past, StartupAssam has successfully hosted Assam Hackathon in 2018 Northeast Hackathon in 2019 in association with Assam Science and Technology University where more than 100 teams and 500 students across Northeast India participated.
The competition is open for all students/ professionals /startups across Northeast India on the sectors listed above.
Notification to Participants/Startups will be issued on 10th April 2020. Last Date of submission is 25th April 2020. The date of the competition will be announced soon.
